웬디스 3투어 챨렌징이2009년 11월 6일부터 10일까지 라스베가스 인근 헨더슨의 리오 세코 골프 클럽에서 개최 되었다.

이 대회는 백만 달러의 상금을 놓고 PGA 투어에서는 스튜어트 싱크, 프레드 커플스, 보바 왓슨이 시니어투어 에서는 제이하스, 닉 프라이스, 프레드 펑크 그리고 LPGA 투어선수에서는 나탈리 걸비스,크리스티 커 수잔 페터슨 선수 각각 3명씩 9명의 선수가 팀을 이뤄 치르는 대회로 LPGA 선수들이 214포인트로 40만 달러를 획득 했다.

웬디스 3투어 챨렌징은 1992년부터 “모든 어린이들에게 사랑하는 가족과 영원이 함께 한다”는 미션을 가지고 시작되었으며 그동안 2천5백만 달러의 기금을 마련해 지원하고 있다.

LPGA Tour Wins Wendy’s Three Tour Challenge

HENDERSON, NV – The Wendy’s Three Tour Challenge, held at Rio Secco Golf Club on November 6-10, was won by the LPGA Tour’s representative golfers, Natalie Gulbis, Suzanne Pettersen, and Cristie Kerr.

The event, which featured a total prize pool of $1 million, was attended by Stewart Cink, Fred Couples, and Bubba Watson from the PGA Tour; Jay Haas, Nick Price, and Fred Funk from the Champions Tour, as well as the three LPGA Golfers. The three teams of three golfers each competed against each other in various events, with the LPGA winning the $400,000 first place prize with a final score of 214 points.

The Wendy’s Three Tour Challenge was founded in 1992 with the following mission statement – “Every child will have a permanent home and a loving family” – and has raised over $25million for charity over the past 27 years.
